Froze my comp too, took about 45 seconds to unfreeze though.

Apparently it's a cock up with the ads on the page.
Is it one of those dell ones with the dodgy fan then munkfish? A friend of mine had one and he frequently had to put it on the balcony to cool it down and revive it.
The Tradedoubler text ads at the bottom of the page are not serving correctly (the ones that looks a bit like Google ads)

doesn't the ad script scan the first post in the thread selecting (probably random) 'keywords' which the server then uses to select 'relevant' ads? i could, of course, be talking complete shit but that might explain why the script takes so long to run.

I get a nice little message in a box from Windows Internet Explorer:-
"Stop running this script?
A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly.
If it continues to run, your computer may become
unresponsive".
I click YES and hey presto! All is well. And the ads have disappeared.
This is what happened to my computer - I thought that it was a virus, logged off and started virus/spyware scanning!
