Read in the paper that traditional boardgames are very popular this year. Went to buy my son that Operation game and was told that there was a six month waiting list unless I got a cancellation. How realistic is that? :lolol:

Good thing we have that - my other lad got one in November for his birthday so traded it.

Monopoly it is - better not be the MUFC version

What is Old Kent Road in the Brighton version of Monopoly?

I saw it WH Smith's but I have forgotten what it was?

Is there a Chance card saying. "You cannot build a hotel because you have not got Planning Permission".

or

Liberal Democrats are elected. No house building until you go to jail seven times.

I've got the Yorkshire version. You can buy Sheff Wed and Leeds United for silly prices - quite prophetic when you consider I bought that version 7 years ago

We bought the Brighton Monopoly last year - great fun.

Daughter has got one of my old favourites from when I was a kid amongst her pressies this year - MouseTrap

They've got some good old fashioned games in Safeways. Snakes and ladders, chess, etc and all the boards are wooden. Should last a lifetime, even if you accidently knock them on the floor when you are losing.

I bought "Cranium" last week. Not played it yet, but it looks good. You have to sculpt things from clay and EVERYTHING.

I played Atmosphere DVD the other day, you get a board with pawns and dice and cards and stuff, plus the DVD of some bloke popping up to give you stuff to do or send you to the grave or something. was abit shit but we really did'nt have a clue what we were doing :)
