On a similar subject (media reporting) the newsreader on Five live this morning said that Chelsea had "lost their unbeaten record" only to correct himself at the end of the bulletin to "lost their 100% record".

That is how I read it. Instead of FDM playing for the reservers Balney will to get some match fitness. Though I expect he will also be on the bench tonight.
