has silent lost his marbles? answer no he probably plays pocket billiards anyway back to football the clown of all chairman has now decided that despite Blackwell being unfit injured and out for most if not all the season ahead, yes apparently he was about to agree a new contract, but hadn't, then gets injured; yet Silent still agrees to a contract and pays him for doing nothing!! What he should be insisting is that the club and/or individual players take out appropriate sick/injury insurance for these circumstances and even if the club were to foot the bill, its gotta be cheaper than paying a player to do f*** all!!

You give him too much credit. He gets paid for being a complete arse. He's good at it, though.

Its all very well honouring the verbal contract we made with Blackwell & I for one think its good, but you have to ask yourself this......If a premiershite or 1st div club had approached Blackwell in the time between verbally agreeing & actually signing for us would he have done the honourable thing and turned them down? I hope so.

Senesible option now would be to make him sign a 2 year contract, with the second year value dependant on number of appearances. That way we stand by him while injured, and he is tied to us for the second season when hopefully recovered and cant just move on. Also protects club if his career is over by meaning we dont pay anything the second year. Morally, financially and mutually agreeable!!
