All other fixtures this weekend (including our own little showdown) surely pale into insignificance. I have Blackpool supporting friends who have suffered all these years of shit, and diligently observed the home games boycott, who will be attending their first home game in years today. It brings a little tear to my eye just thinking about it. Well done Blackpool fans. The future’s bright...

Shame this wasn't more of an event for all football fans to show our support for their fans. But you could also argue that it's a day for Blackpool fans, rather than sharing with the wider football world. I hope they're treated to a Hartlepool-esque match befitting of the emotion of the fans.
