I'm going to buy a new mobile soon so some help would be much appreciated, it is between a blackberry bold, iphone 3GS or some kind of HTC but I don't anything about HTC so maybe someone could tell me which ones are good? I went on my friend's Bold the other and really liked it. Preferably £250 is the most I want to spend so if you know where you can find them the cheapest, please do tell me  thanks

It's all personal preferences fella. I had iPhone 1 and now have HTC desire and I love my htc. The Mrs has a blackberry bold, she loves it, but I hate the small screen and pants apps. You're going to get very divided opinions, weigh up what you need it for against features and try them out in the shop.

Good luck

As a Bold user I can safely say it's pants! Blackberry OS6 uses too much memory on the 9700 for the browser to work on anything but the simplest of pages. All the games are rubbish (apart from Cribbage but that gets dull after a while) and the lack of touch screen is dissappointing.

I'm due for an upgrade in just over 3 months and will be getting a Galaxy S2. Have you considered the Galaxy S if your budget is tight?

Oh, and don't get an iPhone unless you want Steve Jobs to hold your hand on everything you do.

HTC phones are pretty special in my experience and yes they are Android.

Have the HTC Desire & really like it. The apps are good and after having had two Nokia E series smart phones the HTC is far and away superior. Mrs has the blackberry and loves the messenger but I prefer the android OS personally. Hope this helps.

BBM and a full QWERTY keyboard are the only decent things on the Blackberry.

right, here goes.

i have a Bberry for a work device, and for that it is excellent. Emails and organising your calendar when on the move etc.

i also had a Iphone 3GS which was my personal dog, and it is loaded with Apps, and this was excellent, however i have just procured the HTC Desire s. OMFG it is amazing, and does the job of both of the above....

Thanks for the help guys, i've got a sony ericsson xperia mini pro and I really dont like it, the screem is way too small, and its very responsive which gets really annoying, the 5megapixel camera doesnt even have a zoom, however the qwerty keyboard is quite good. I think im going to go with an HTC, not sure which one yet though, i'll do a bit of research, cheers guys

If you can afford the HTC Desire S, get it, it's awesome.

However if your budget doesn't stretch that far then go for its predecessor, the Phone of the Year HTC Desire. Android is an awesome OS and the handset itself is very capable as well as being just the right size and shape.

You won't be disappointed

I have been sent a MMS from a Blackberry to my Samsung Galaxy. Is there anyway of opening it? I really want to see what this lady has sent me!
