I’ve just watched the documentary on BBC1 about Billy Monger attempt to beat the World Record time fr a double leg amputee in the Kona Ironman.
The man is incredible, what an inspiration.
I don’t follow any motor sports, so he had gone under my radar a bit, I watched the race around the world he was in but, knew little about him apart from that. Reading up on him after tonight’s programme, my admiration for him is through the roof, e is the answer to anyone who says today’s youth hasn’t got the mental tenacity and courage of previous generations.
