Pregnant EastEnders star Jessie Wallace has broken up with her fiance over an "untrue" story in a Sunday newspaper.

The star was furious that a friend of her fiance Dave Morgan told the paper she had asked him for sex, taken drugs and insulted her EastEnders co-stars.


Morgan's friend Winston Rollock had been paid to carry out work on Wallace's £500,000 house in East London.

He claimed Wallace had asked him for sex after an early morning drinking and karaoke session.

Friends told the Daily Mirror that she felt Morgan should have protected her from Rollock.

The paper said she had taken his house keys and told him to leave.

It quoted a friend as saying: "It's over between Jessie and Dave.

"She has been crying all weekend. She threw up when she read that she had asked him for sex.

"At six months pregnant nothing could be further from her mind."

Morgan's mother Barbara confirmed the pair had split.

Jessie, who plays Kat Slater in the BBC soap, met Morgan last year when he was a policeman and escorted her to court for a drink-drive case.
