Beware the AMEX floodlights

With a number of midweek games coming up at the AMEX it of concern to see such a big disparity between our home league results with a 3pm kick off and those which kicked off later.

According to my calculations our 3pm record at home is W 9 D 1 L1 whereas our later kick off record is W 0 D 3 L 2.

This for LEAGUE matches only and, therefore does not include any stats for the three cup games against Premier League opposition.

Lets hope it changes on Wednesday.

Not sure you can blame the lights! Half of those afternoon games would have been at least partly under lights too.

I mentioned this after the Millwall game.

We haven't won a home league game at night.... Can include the Hull game which kicked off at half five.

Give me a Saturday league game at the Amex anyday. Only 3 of those left an all

I don't want it to end, it has been brilliant this season.

You don't see many as many Saturday games in the Premiership either...

Take heart fella. There's still 7 league games overall at the Amex & you can always go away if your feeling flush. You seem pretty confident in your last sentance which just possibly may not be a certainty

I used to go away when we were at Withdean, mainly 'cos it was crap but the atmosphere in the North stand can be as good as, if not better than, an away game and I don't feel the need (or have the money) to go to so many away games now.

It has struck again - add another D to the stats. I wonder if there is any scientific explanation for this. Never mind lets look forward to three points on Saturday.
