I loved it,but then thats because im interested in the history of the conflict.
If you want a fast paced holiday with booze and nightclubs, then the Falklands is NOT for you.

You got a cold? You poof. Get your arse to the Med Centre and get some soluble aspirin, to be gargled four times a day. That, and Brufen in 400mg tablets, is well known to cure ANY illness that you may incur whilst in HM Service. Stop whining, it could be worse. You could be duty weekend as well. Plus side - some of the Nurses are not bad and take your mind off being sick. Bloody malingering.

Falklands - novel place to go. Mount Pleasant Airport is quite civilised these days, as is the Mare Harbour Complex. Just be careful about getting into Landrovers, as they crash on a regular basis. We had one dead, one almost killed, and four badly injured a little while back because a Landie left the road and turned over, bloody things are always doing it because the familiarisation training is not as "thorough" as it could be. ie, MT Sgt says "Can you drive?". If you say yes, you get certified as a Landie driver......:nono:
