From the way that presentation was put together I'd suggest that Tom Farmer and friend/colleague are a pair of arseholes, even if they have a point!

I'm in two minds on this to be honest. On the one hand, you can't help but me sceptical of a couple of twats with enough time on their hands to carefully craft a presentation, designed purely to humiliate one of life's less fortunate people - and I'm presuming Mike doesn't get a good deal of job satisfaction or remuneration for his troubles. On the other hand, Mike sounds like one of these tossers who doesn't appear to give a toss that his customers pay his wages and are in a mess thanks to his own incompetence. That attitude gets right on my tits.

Thanks for the contact. I checked out the thread you linked me to -- thanks
very much. It looks like 70% of the voting public think I am all right, the
other 30% think I am a tosser. If you were to survey my email bag (6000+
messages since Dec. 2001) you would find 98% friendly, 2% absurdly angry
correspondents. And the two percent are not radicalized hotel night clerks
-- they tend to be frequent travellers who think I am stupid or somehow soft
for calling attention to bad service.

You may tell the community it only took about two hours to put the
PowerPoint together, which usually puts paid to the "too much time on their
hands" criticism, and anyway the thing has had so much attention and
galvanized so much debate, not to mention brought me new friends from all
over the damn globe, I tend to think it was two hours well spent.
