After looking at KinkyGerbil's avatar I have to say it is cool as Bender is a quality character.

He is easily one of the funniest cartoon characters around and is up there with Homer (I know they are by the same people).

Both Futurama and the Simpsons are great shows IMO. Especially as they can appeal to all ages; kids love them but there's also a lot of more adult and political humour in there too

My brothers all rave about Futurama but have always found it funny enough. . . but nothing too special. Agree, though, that Bender was far and away the stand-out character.
Was always a big fan of King Of The Hill, though - am surprised Channel 4 took that off so soon.

Q10: Is Futurama really cancelled?

A10: While FOX never said it cancelled the show, they did stop ordering new episodes. The production crew thus broke up.



Q11: A while back I got email by FOX and they say the cancellation is all false rumours!

A11: The production stop has been confirmed time and again by Groening and co. The emails FOX sends out are preformated dated answers with little relation to reality. They do not come from the executive level. In the end, FOX announced that Futurama would not be on the 2003/2004 line-up.

Futurama is utterly glorious, and is often better than later episodes of The Simpsons. However, Bender pales into insignificance in comparison with the genius that is Zoidberg!
