Darts must be doing something right. An almost unbelievable 5,000 fans at the Hallam FM Arena this evening to see the latest match-up, will be an amazing atmosphere.

Sport is all about rivalries, and Barry Hearn has managed this one perfectly - other sports could learn a lot from what they're doing, whether you like the arrers or not.

What time are they on the oche? I'e got to go through the weekly ritual of thrashing my missus at badminton tonight but will be able to watch it if it's after 8.30pm.

You'll be OK then, starts 7.30pm and they are last up of four matches.

Meopham, Kent.
Some bookies have Barney as the favourite, and that is apparently the first time Phil Taylor has gone into a match as an underdog since 1990 !!!

Been singing that for about three months now after going to Purfleet in December.

Can't wait for tonight!

I see the playoffs are in Brighton and they've still got tickets. Guessing that's 'theatre style' seats rather than tables.

Yep, the tables went within hours of going on sale. We are up on the balcony.

It will be interesting to see how Barney handles being favourite, and who the crowd get behind.

Taylor's form in the league, has, by his standards, been below par every week, whereas Barney has been steady.

My prediction - BARNEY 8-6 TAYLOR

Betting on bhabet (bet365.com)

Raymond Barneveld 5/4
Phil Taylor 5/4
Draw 4/1

Best odds you're likely to get on Taylor between now and Xmas.

Get on LARGE!

Personally I think those odds are generous on Barney, Taylor's been a shadow of his former self, while Barney has been top notch.

Tsk, will that be theatre style then?

Still worth going, mind.

Yeah I imagine it will but like you say still well worth going. I cant wait.

In answer to another question furthur up the thread about the supporters tonight I reckon as usual Barney will have the majority supporting him.
