So, with AI about to take over the world, just how good are they are rating the players in yesterday's game?
First up, Bard.
First up, Bard.
- Bart Verbruggen (6.5): The young Belgian goalkeeper was at fault for Burnley's opener but made some crucial saves in the second half to keep Brighton in the game.
- Lewis Dunk (7.5): The experienced center-back was a commanding presence at the back, marshaling the defense with his usual calm authority and making several important interceptions.
- Pascal Gross (8.5): The German midfielder was the creative spark for Brighton, constantly spraying passes around the pitch and creating opportunities for his teammates. He scored a stunning free-kick to level the scores in the second half.
- James Milner (7): The Liverpool loanee was a solid contributor in midfield, winning tackles and interceptions and dictating the tempo of the game. He could have been more clinical in front of goal.
- Mahmoud Dahoud (7.5): The Borussia Dortmund loanee controlled the midfield, spraying passes around the pitch and dictating the flow of play. He was a strong performer overall.
- Simon Adingra (8): The Ghanian winger was a constant threat to Burnley's defense, his pace and directness causing problems all evening. He scored the equalizing goal with a powerful header from Pascal Gross's free-kick.
- Adam Lallana (6.5): The experienced midfielder struggled to find his rhythm in the first half but showed his worth with a brilliant pass to set up Simon Adingra for the equalizing goal.
- Kaoru Mitoma (7.5): The Japanese winger was a lively substitute, providing a constant threat down the left flank and winning a number of important fouls. He also had a couple of shots on goal.
- Evan Ferguson (6.5): The young striker was a bright spark for Brighton, his pace and movement causing problems for Burnley's defense. He could have done more with a couple of chances.
Surprised, but delighted to see both Adringa AND Gross scored. Lallana's assist a bit of a surprise too. We didn't do badly really, given we only fielded 9 players!
Next up, and the clear winner. Chat GPT:- Bart Verbruggen: Rated 6. He made a comfortable save from a Zeki Amouni shot but had little to do early on. He was unable to do anything about the goal but made a good double save in the second half.
- James Milner: Rated 6. Came forward from left back, resulting in a shot saved by Trafford, but was vulnerable in defence at times.
- Lewis Dunk: Rated 6. The captain linked up well with Van Hecke at the back and tried a few long balls.
- Jan Paul Van Hecke: Rated 6. Made a good block early on and was solid at the back.
- Carlos Baleba: Rated 5. Was slow to close down Odobert for the first goal and was substituted off with 30 minutes to go.
- Pascal Gross: Rated 8 and was the man of the match. He dictated early play, had a free kick into the wall, a header looped over the bar, and an effort saved by Trafford. He got the assist for the equaliser and had a late free kick tipped over.
- Mahmoud Dahoud: Rated 5. Blazed a shot over the bar and looked out of depth at times, being substituted at half time.
- Simon Adingra: Rated 8. Linked up well, very unlucky not to score earlier but made up for it with a headed goal.
- Adam Lallana: Rated 5. Was sloppy at times, giving away the ball.
- Joao Pedro: Rated 6. Showed moments of promise but couldn't find the decisive final ball.
- Evan Ferguson: Rated 5. Struggled to get involved early on but showed technical skill.
- Substitutes:
- Kaoru Mitoma: Rated 7. Made an impact down the left side but struggled to break through.
- Billy Gilmour: Rated 7. Influenced the game with shots and skills.
- Igor Julio: Rated 6. Helped in recycling attacks and defended well.
- Jack Hinshelwood: Rated 6. Had two headed chances in added time.
- Buonanotte: Rated 6. Entered in the last 10 minutes but couldn't find an equaliser.
More accurate. And ratings which were pretty reflective of the game with the 4 players scoring 7's and 8's the standout performers on the night in my view.
