Beware of the prostitutes in Barca - they pounce on groups of English lads, touching you all over and then trying to make off with your wallet- one of our lot got done by a woman doing this...

Lucky so and so. My better half is a born and bred Barcalonina so I've got to know the city quite well through her, it is an amazing place.
Get one of the all-day tickets on the tourist buses so you can jump on and off. One of the routes goes to the Nou Camp. Also the Sagrada Familia is unmissable - you can watch them building a cathedral before your eyes - even if you're not much of an architecture buff while on a stag do... btw, the lift is for wimps.
Don't forget the Olympic complex on Montjuic, you can normally just wander into the Olympic stadium for a look (where Espanyol play their home games) and apparently you can also swim in the pool where they did the diving in '92 that has the whole city in the background.
Also, take the cable car over the harbour, the one that leaves from the bottom of the Ramblas for a very cool view of the whole place then go to one of the seafood places on the harbour front Barceloneta. Don't be afraid to order "Black Rice", basically paella but in squid ink that makes your teeth look like the late Queen Mother's, gawd bless her.
As for bars, there are thousands of them, everywhere, all cheaper and generally better food than here. The weirdest/coolest one I saw was in the waxwork museum, towards the bottom of the Rambla on the LHS. And I'd take your Speedos and eye up the local totty on the city beaches by the Olympic village.

i have never been but the old dear got pick pocketed there a couple of years ago. so watch out for that.

If you are offered cheap ciggies by the pikeys down the rambla give the right money if you give em a large note as most tourist do they f*** off and you do not see the change.

Mount Junc, Olympic Stadium and the cable car is great also recommend a trip to the beach area.
