Depends which way you look at it. Sparks are indeed the Mael brothers (are there any other type? … I’ll get my coat) however during their 70s peak they were a band, with the same line up over three albums. The drummer at that time, Dinky Diamond, tragically took his own life about
20 years ago because he was at the end of his tether arguing with troublesome neighbours that constantly made too much noise.

I saw them at Wembley in the 90’s, a great night. Many great tracks beyond the famous hits, a very wide repertoire, imho.
