It's been going so long it MUST be good. The surroundings are a bit odd - it feels as though you're entering a council tower block as you approach the building but it's nice once you're in I recall. Cue someone telling me it moved 15 years ago.

Spot on, nice spacious bar with a pool table too plus a bit of music. good laugh down there

Went there about 15 years ago and it was great. Will be interested to hear if the food's still as good.... and if they've changed the decor. It was out of date even then!

Yeah ! its good down there if not a little bit 1980's in style - go quite often - food is good and as long as you are not embarrassed about it you can keep going up to the buffet and filling your plate !

Great place, like a cruise ship eaterie from the 70's, complete with bamboo furniture. Food is tasty and the owner is called Santa.

As a group night out I think it is very good with nice food a massive bar area & a pool table.

For an intimate meal with your girlfriend then it is probably a bit dated.

Went last year with a few friends using the Argus cheapo coupons, was very good.

Used to have an annual family gathering back in Brighton held at different venues - after going here we stuck with it for the next 4 years!

Calm, well presented (dated in places but easily overlooked), good polite service, very nice variety of dishes and generous too!

If you like busy then don't do a saturday lunchtime! Twas great....

Last time I went which was quite a while back a fight erupted and was broken up by the police however no-one was arrested as they were policeman off duty fighting !
