Looking though the excellent www.3.mistral.co.uk website
it really seems bad timing is a part of the Seagulls history
attendence wise.
Just as the game was really going out of fashion the club
finally made the top flight.79/80.
How else to explain 3,000 less people per home game than the previous season when the club failed on goal difference to get promoted to the old first division.
The second season in the top flight crowds had fallen by 6,000
from the previous year.
Football becomes trendy again in the 90's and we all know what happened.
KEEP RIGHT ON TO THE END OF THE ROAD.
