Cuts for everyone's pay in the public sector innit, I can hardly complain. And as for insurance, I doubt I'm in the age group to be that affected by the poor driving of a bunch of teenage boys.

Three points last night is what it's all about :clap2:

Whilst you're here officer, I'd like to report a theft. I was watching a match last night with some CHUMS, when a GANG of YOBS in Orange jackets, stole our BALL...

I suggest you contact Charlton Athletic immediately with their descriptions, so that they may pass the details on to the police. An appearance on Crimewatch beckons for the orange-jacketed villain, surely.

Let's be honest, it's not actually cuts in Police pay as a basic salary, it's cuts in Police taking the piss with overtime and perks !

Never mind, cut police pay, then we can afford to charter planes to repatriate Egyptians and any others who want to go home !

I accept there is a debate ongoing about public sector pay, I just hate the tabloid use of the term "perks" when it comes to what I earn.

"Perks" to me implies freebies, cushy little jollies at the taxpayers' expense, the suggestion that I'm sat up taking the piss on a daily basis, waiting to see how much overtime I can wangle out of the most trivial job. "Perks" IMHO are the sort of fact-finding missions abroad that the likes of Theresa May find so vital to their role, the ability to claim money for a second home in London when you live within an hour's commute, plenty of other things.

Good idea. I may just do that. If only we had a photo of the STOLEN item.

Fair point but I consider anything past basic salary a perk including overtime which many of us don't get paid.
