What are you thinking not putting that comment in the match thread and creating a new one.
Because it’s a potential season defining moment therefore deserves its own thread!

I think last week both of opposition goals were scored by players he was marking. I'm huge fan of his, but defensively he has been quite poor lately. I'm sure he'll learn.

No more defining than Gomez missing a free header and an open goal.
Well, yes.
But with Gomez, his technique let him down (world class delivery by Gruda btw).
Ayari decided to put his hand where he did paving the way for an almost certain penalty.
Gomez’s mistake was a lot more understandable.

It was like being back to Fab’s favoured 1 man midfield today with Baleba.

Hinshelwood, O’Riley, Ayari all weak as piss today.

I assume he was trying to get his arm out of the way, but misjudged the ball.

It was a rookie mistake that he will learn from.

The problem with having so many young players like that we do, is that they are prone to making silly mistakes.

Also contributing…
Gomez, who is fast becoming Gormless
Bart who can’t even go the right way at penalties never mind save one
ORiley, more O’Dearey
The Ref, who was atrocious today
Toon, who are a travelling theatrical team more than a football club

But we are also just overhyped really. Our team is bang average for this division and that is why we’re finishing mid table. Which is still overachieving if we’re considered about things.

It really doesn’t help that people mention Europe. It should be banned from any conversation until the final whistle of the final game of every season. Even now the media is still (STILL!) saying there’s all to play for with 3 games to go

Then he should bloody well speed up his rookie apprenticeship because he’s making mistakes all the time. Every game.

Exactly this, his hand was so far away from his body therefore it’s a pre-meditated movement, hence the question ‘what was he thinking?’

He's getting better all the time. At 21, he's a real prospect and has had a good season.

If you don't have the patience to watch our young talents develop, mistakes and all, then you're going to be perpetually frustrated being an Albion fan.
