That's the actual headline from this morning's Daily Star.

Asylum seekers have stolen nine donkeys - and police believe they've killed and eaten them.

It's not unusual to eat cattle. However it isn't right to steal it, and I'd be a bit dubious about eating anything that wasn't bred for the table.

I bet Carla Lane wasn't happy about it though!!

Is this story going the same way as the one that was doing the rounds a few months ago: Asylum seekers eat our swans.

After a police investigation, it was revealed that this was completely untrue and was the fertile imagination of a journalist from one of the tabs (the Sun I think).

What brilliant minds they must have.
