For the old timers on here

Has anyone got a CD/Tape of Bob Newhart ( perhaps the funniest American Alive - I assume he is alive....erm if not them surely the funniest American deceased)

He was a comedian who did monologues like The Driving Instructor/ School for Bus Drivers, Introducing Tobacco to the Natives....etc

I had a tape years ago and like lots of things in our hpouse, the tooth fairy took it in lieu of change.

I have looked on Ebay and they only have LP's and one CD

Fraid not Dave .... but he was brilliant .... can still hear his "Dearest Mother, dearest father .... how's my darling little brother?" .......
Used to listen on Family favourites when I was a nipper in Mile Oak!

It's "dour Northern bastard" Dave, although no doubt you are ungrateful as well  and don't you feel silly predicting our first win wouldn't come until the QPR game !!

I did have a copy somewhere but it was scratched to buggery and I think I binned it. Sorry.

I'm sure my Dad has a Bob Newhart cassette. Seem to recall it containing a monologue about a pontiac running over a dog ???

That was funny but it wasn't Bob Newhart. That was a guy called Allan Sherman.
