He did ok today but he is still not good enough. Why Gus doesn't go crazy and play him up top with CMS for once? GP clearly rates him so at least try and play him where he may score goals, CMS up there on his own is clearly not happening

Shows Aspinall hasn't got a clue. NOBODY was excellent today and Barnes was as guilty as most today with his shoddy passing. However, I hate to say it but Bruno took the crown today as worst performer.

Interesting - for me Bridcut, Barnes, Dicker were the best players. They are the ones who know what the fixture means as they have been around a while. Hammond should know, but once again I thought he wasn't great.

By excellent, I assume he means got involved in a fair few wrestling matches with Palace players, usually ending up on his knees begging to the ref with a shoulder shrug and outstretched arms, wearing a gormless 'why always me' expression on his face?

Dobbie should've played today.

Absolute crap first half, and as for this defending myth,i was watching him closely and he jogs back but dosn't exactly defend.
Good ball to CMS for the missed chance and another couple of nice touches in the 2nd half but is that what it takes to be called outstanding??.
I think Aspinall wants to watch Murray.

I watched Barnes closely, showed good control, quick feet, and played a good fast early ball to CMS on more than one occasion.

None of our players were going to shine under today's conditions, given the circumstances I thought he was one of our better players today.

Agree with this,Barnsey did create a lot of chances for other team members, hopefully I will get a contract with Palace to fill in all holes on the pitch for their deliberate diving.....but fair play, they beat us.... but the season is not over yet!!

Barnes had one of the best chances today , looked like he got slight contact with a header that went very close with Speroni shitting himself at the thought it was go to creep in past his right post.

He had one of the best chances and he missed the goal? Doesn't sound like Barnes.

Barnes is the future. Believe in Gus and our prospects will be rosy indeed.
