His great penalty record had me shitting myself yesterday as I was thinking to myself that statistically it's about time he missed one, and sod's law it was going to be that one! DELIGHTED I was wrong!

Don't quote me on this but I think he's only missed two, brentford away last season, and huddersfield at home (though he did score the rebound) on another note his performance and overall work rate last night was excellent thought he looked far better than he has done recently

One comment I will make on Barnes is that when you read the minute by minute commentry that the sporting life does, two lines appear a lot.
1 Ashley barnes has a shot at goal.
and
2 The goalkeeper has it covered.
Probably the most repeated lines every game.

6/6 this season (gillingham, cardiff, liverpool, leeds, wrexham, palace)
3or 4/5 last season. He took five, scored three directly, and followed up a fourth (the only penalty save/miss that was able to be followed up last year - others were either held by the keeper or pushed wide), the other was saved. (peterborough, exeter, portsmouth; Huddersfield (saved and followed up); brentford (saved))
