Can people please post here as to which (if any) they can do?

Turkey, I thought you would be a good one to do the Wrexham piece as you seem to know more about it then me. Would that be ok?

I am happy to do as much as I need too but am warey about doing too much without giving others the chance so if there are any that take your fancy, post on here and it will be easier for me to see what is not being done.

Any other ideas post on here as well.

Events have moved at a bewildering speed since the red card protest in May. Our main concern at the time was the fact that apart from a few hundred fans on the internet very few Wrexham fans knew what was actually happening at the Racecourse. Media coverage was non existent and for those of us involved with Dismal Jimmy it was a time of frustration.
The Red Card protest itself was adjudged to be a failure by the smug local press. It was pointed out that the protest was better observed by the travelling Seagulls than the rather embarrassed locals. Feedback from some of our helpers on the day suggested that many Wrexham fans hadnt got a clue what was going on at the club and in fact viewed the protest as 'against the club itself".
Personally i was delighted. For the first time the story was being covered in something like a proper manner.
The first dividend came less than 2 weeks later when our roly poly chairman resigned. Even better it was revealed by the new managing director, John Reames, that Guterman had been a front all along for a character called Alex Hamilton.
Then it all came out.In a series of briefings and a fans forum held at the end of May we were told the following.
Mr Hamilton has no interest in football ,he is a property developer.
The club was in serious financial trouble.
We needed to develop the ground to clear the debts. This may involve moving from the Racecourse to a new site.
However there is no suitable site within the town(sound familiar).
Anyway the fans have now become organised. The Wrexham Supporters Trust was fully constituted.
Pressure has been brought on the local authority and our local politicians. Every one of whom has come out against a move from the Racecourse. In fact Alun Pugh the Welsh Sports Minister has stated that he will call in any application for a change of usage at the ground.
Wrexham fans (and a few Brighton ones) beseiged the switchboards of B & Q in July and forced a statement from them in which they denied any interest in moving to the site.
This was now a major problem for Hamilton as B & Q were his tenant of choice .
Wrexham fans have been systematically targeting his associates for phone beastings every Friday this Summer. Mr Hamilton has been the victim of a blizzard of junk mail and the pressure of all this has started to show.
On the night of a public meeting in the town he told the local press that he would shut down the club if there were any more protests at the games. In a bizarre phone call to the Trust he described Wrexham fans as lowlifes and threatened to attend the Public meeting.(He didnt)
The season kicked off with a rally and a march through the town.3000 red balloons were released outside the Guildhall and around 3000 Wrexham fans marched from the town to the ground in good humour. It was a brilliant day for everyone until just after half time when a certain Mr Alex Hamilton appeared on the home end. What his thinking was nobody could even begin to imagine. He was on the kop for around 10 minutes of mayhem before being dragged off by a very irate police force.
It was to the credit of the fans that nobody actually tagged him. The press are now treating him with suspicion and this was reinforced the next day when he put up hundreds of documents on the clubs website detailing correspondence between himself and just about every interested local party.
Who will do business with this madman.
Although it would appear that we are winning there are still major worries ahead. By changing the terms of the lease Mr Hamilton now controls the freehold and leasehold of the ground .We are in effect the tenant at our home. It is also true that he could probably get planning permission for some kind of development at the ground And in the meantime the club is slowly dying under his incompetent management.
Tough times for Wrexham fans lie ahead.
