Arsenal youngster signed?

Has our legendary (but largely non-existant) Arsenal connection delivered at last? Caught a brief glimpse on Sky Sport News about a young Arsenal defender signing (on loan?) for us - kept on watching Sky Sports for a bit, but do they care b*gger all about important news when there's golf or synchronised swimming to report about?
Anybody know anything about this, or about the new player we appear to have signed?
