Following on from Braders thread about Notts County fans seeing
Albion fans as arrogant.

Just got relegated and sold our best player for decades, shit ground, no money so our expectations should realistically be to
consolidate in div 2. BUT I believe that most of us are arrogant and cocky enough to believe that we'll bounce straight back (me included).

We've also heard from other clubs over the last few seasons how arrogant we are.

Well are we?

We're not arrogant. We're just better than everyone else.

You are the nicest, friendliest collection of arrogant tossers I have conversed with, today, but there's still time for me to bump into a Wycombe fan.

aaaaaaaaaaaahhh he cares :lolol:

Yes we're arrogant. And we've got every bloody reason to be. With the possible exception of Wednesday, all the other sides in Div 2 are f**king pub teams compared to us. Even a Reading fan a couple of years ago commented that Div 2 hadn't seen anything like it since Man City were down there when we were around.

There's nothing arrogant in knowing how good our current team is.

We could not be called arrogant when we knew we had a crap team and might just stay in the League a few years back.

That just makes us realists, surely.

If we don't at least make the play offs this year, then I'll have to re-assess my thoughts on the ability of Mr Coppell.

At present, I can't imagine how he can fail, unless we suddenly sell FDM, Cullip, Chippy and Mayo and Knight goes back to Chelski. But that would just be careless!!

I'm only predicting that we finish in the top half of the table.

Well, First place IS top half of the table.

Yes we are arrogant. Until we have a permanent stadium and a team good enough to hold there own in Division 1, should we really look for anything other than Mid table in Division 2?

We have good reason to be arrogant.

1) We have an excellent manager.
2) We have an excellent squad of players.
3) We have excellent support - who frequently put lots of dosh in other clubs pockets when we descend on them in vast numbers.
4) We have an excellent chance of having an excellent new stadium (fingers crossed and all that).

I think we can be, but its quite a shallow, insecure sort of arrogance - meaning that when we're in Divs Two and Three we think we're bigger and have more away fans than everyone else (with some justification). But in Div One last season most were happy to revert to our perhaps more accustomed role of underdog battling against big teams in big stadiums. Unless you're blind and stupid, you can't go to Wolves and say you're a bigger club as an Albion fan. Still, nice taking four points off 'em.
