You can only get it in certain areas along the coast (but quite widely in Brighton) - depending on reception. And it doesn't have inane DJs who love their sound of their own voice screaming and yakking over the top of the music.

It plays qualilty tunes - out of say 12-15 tunes an hour, at least 9-10 will be superb. I am a big fan of it, and listen to it as much as possible.

Anyone else?

Much as I'd like to accuse you of having just picked up the latest free Brighton paper, which has FIP on the front cover and big article inside, you do seem to know your FIP. It really is the dogs in terms of the classic off-the-wall tunes they spin from right across the music spectrum from reggae, dance, pop....and you just sit there being blown away tune after tune. Without a doubt THE radio station to listen to, just a shame you can only pick it up in very specific locations, most of which seem to be in Brighton.

I did but can't pick it up where I live now unfortunately. Plays a lot of jaz and swing and the oocasional hip hop gem from the likes of the Saian Supa Crew and Mc Solaar as well asa lot of english speaking hip hoppers.

Great station, if you haven't heard it do give it a go.

Does that guy still transmit it from his house?

tried many times in the hope that they have improved "penetration" or whatever you call strength of the signal, and can't hear a bean...shame as sounds good

Brilliant station. Some of the female DJs' voices are well sexy!

A very refreshing alternative to some of the other gash (radio stations) about.

Which paper? This is Brighton? The Insight? Oh, do tell.
