i went to cardiff gig on sunday. was very good, but, is a bit like just lisetning to album. new/occasioanl fans will love it but if ur a big fan u may feel a little cheated cos i did.

I saw them at Southampton Uni last night. Very good gig, you should all enjoy it. Missed the support as in the pub.
Was nice to drink at Student Prices again.

They played Exeter uni on Tuesday. Sadly the tickets sold out before I could get one. But apparently they were good.

I thought they were alright. Sounded just like The Coral to me.

Athlete themselves were quality. But as The Right Footed Denilson said, it was just like listening to the album very loudly. Would rather that though than the band sound totally shit live.

All in all a good night, with Mr Popkins getting VERY pissed again. Thankfully on this occasion he didn't stand there screaming '****s' all night.

Bought the album on vinyl the other day, gave it its first spin on the technics last night. Almost got on the guest list for the gig but it really was packed.

Simple music for simple tastes, enjoyable though. I often sing El Salvador when pissed. I'm surprised they compare themselves to Blur as their lyrics and Joel's voice are nowhere near Albarns.

By the way anyone who took my advice and went to The Jeevas last monday - what a f***ing treeeemendous gig eh?
