Certainly not cheating checking if a word has already been used is it? Cheating is coming on here or the internet looking for clues, using word finders or doing it as a twosome...imo

I think as a collective we are good at not giving any real clues to the day's answer.

I stick to the WC rules of not coming to this thread until I have done mine for the day - hence my crappy average maybe?

No, I think that's totally fine to have a list of past words. I started but couldn't be bothered to keep it up. However, I am now getting to the stage of putting words in, and then thinking I am sure that was an answer 6 months ago, which obviously doesn't help keep the scores down.
