[Technology] Any iPlayer Tekkies out there

For some reason when I download things from iPlayer to watch on the plane or offline, I get an error message

but when I connect to Wi-Fi it works fine.

BBC say to check the settings on iPlayer downloads but I am giggered if I can see where you check for this.

anyone had similar problems or is it just my iPad?
