I would like to apologise on two counts
In 1983, when Gordon Smith missed, I threw the hat of the guy standing next to me (I didn't know him), down to the bottom tier.
I never apologised to him
So at this match, if Brighton scored, I promised my kids that I would throw my own cap down to the bottom tier, to lay the ghost of 83.
In all the exitement I FORGOT !!
Also I couldn't watch Leons penalty and I still haven't seen it on TV.
I therefore apologise unreservedly for:
a) Forgetting to throw my cap
b) Being a woos and not having the guts to watch the penalty
Bloody top day though, eh?
