Much better IMHO. What impresses me the most is his ability to dodge punches.

I don't normally like boxing but I watched this lad the other day and he is awesome.

I hope he goes all the way to a gold medal. His Dad's waistcoat is brilliant.

Agreed. He ought to be given the medal for that alone. :)

He looks a hell of a prospect.

He looks a bloody good prospect, and seemed very down to earth when interviewed lastnight.

Far better prospect than our last Olympic Boxing winner, can't even remember his name now, the one who's currently trying to fight his way out of a professional paper bag

The most exciting moment of the Olympics was seeing Khan spark that geezer out, lightening fast hands and excellent movement. Can't wait for the next fight!

Looks like a legend in the making, such quick hands. When he fills out a bit he'll be a hell of a boxer. Can't see him staying amateur for long after the Olympics have finished.

The other thing that impressed me was how level-headed he was when being interviewed by Claire Balding and the Irish bloke on BBC's Olympics round-up. For a 17 year old who had just knocked down an older, much more experienced opponent he seemed remarkably level-headed.

Semi-final is on BBC1 at 6.30 on Friday.

The real deal. And if Audley's reading this (yeah, right), that means he does it IN THE RING.

The kid is totally amazing, already beaten the European Champion at his level on his way to the semis. Was recently voted the best boxer by his peers at the recent World Championships, and he was only there as a junior. Managed to watch last nights fight before leaving home for the Bristol Rovers game and was very impressed, total destruction job on a much more experienced fighter. His semi final match will be tough, but he certainly has the skills and self belief to get him through that and then its Gold or Silver, who would bet against him getting Gold. I had heard that he was going to this years Olympics just to get the experience and was working towards getting a medal in 2008, the pressure for him to turn Pro now though will be huge.

Wanna bet? He's going to uni.

He wants to fight at the next Olympics alongside his brother (who is 14yo and just as good apparently!) and then turn pro.

Yeah, I'll bet on that! Frank Warren has already said that he can make millions, and I can't see him wanting to wait another four years.

Anyway, he'll probably f*ck up his exams, cos he's supposed to be revising!!

By the end of this year?!

How about £50 says he turns pro before the next Olympics?

Now it's up to four years!?!?

Nice backtrack.
