I can faintly remember Activ8, and I have heard evapor8, via CDs through mates. So thats how I discovered them.

Funny enough the girl that does the starting bit for activ8 was 5 at the time in 1991, she would be 18 now the same age as me. LOL

I think most of them, I only have heard a few of their tunes and read about them on the internet.

Is there anything wrong with me being into this Old Skool Dance 88-95 music when you have Wilts whos in his early 20s and is into Mo Town, 70's and 80's disco?

Yes.

You are only permitted to listen to what was in the chart on your 10th birthday.

I am also into most House/ Big Beat (Fatboy Slim style) music, and a bit of rock, old pop, jazz and classical music. I like a lot of music from 1995 though bizarrely. Oh I wish I was born 5 or 10 years earlier then I would have appericated it more, and would have had the oppertunity to enjoy the dance scene more, and I would not have Alan Partridge bothering me as much about my age. :jester:

not bothering you was just surprised that Altern 8 would feature in your music listening. They were a laugh at the time but hardly produced quality music other than a couple of anthems.

I don't think you would have liked the dance scene then anyway. It was far too inclusive for a couple of years. UKIP flyers wouldn't have been too popular:)

I only like Activ8 and Evpor8 by them that is a about it.

Rave music in the early 90's overall apart from a few tunes, was a bit before my time. I am more into the old Mid-90's dance scene, before you had Garage, Manufactured Pop and Hip Hop crap.

?

Manufactured pop existed for many years prior to the mid 90s.

A lot of (good) garage sounds a lot like early 90s hardcore/rave

and you think Hip Hop is crap??

BURN THE HERETIC!

:lolol: I don't mind old Hip Hop tunes mixed in with house, but I am just not that keen on most commerical hip hop, RnB or Pop thats out today, and a lot of garage. was what I mean't. Oh have I got a awful taste in music?:lolol:

Naff as it may seem now I did love Altern8's nuclear fallout suits, dust masks(Vicks anyone?) and armoured vehicles. As for the music - couple of good tunes from an era awash with quality floor-filling anthems.

Nope. They did a remix of 1 in 10 by UB40 when i saw them supporting Madness and the Farm. only reason they were support was because Suggs was their manager though
