... and The Albion are just a stepping stone between the dole queue and a permanent position in a shiny new stadium

Apart from Hinsh of course who's still hanging around Withdean waiting for his next ship to come in :nono:

And... Relax... :(

I agree, this really is starting to piss me off.
if we get a shit manager we are in the shit anyway,if we get a good one like DK has managed to do 4 times its just a matter of time till we get the tail end of the domino effect.
we really cant win.:nono:

It just shows the importance of Falmer,

SC has said himself that if the stadium situation had been finalised he would not be considering leaving, but with the public inquiry resuming later this month and then another wait for Prezza to make his mind up, the earliest we can expect a stadium is 2005/06, and probably not at the start of the season. A month is a long time in football, two years is too long to expect a good manager to stay with no resources, training facilities, scouts, stadium or finance

I think if he goes then it will take a while to pick another manager.

DK will take his time that's for certain can't see a knee-jerk reaction myself.

We need to have a manager that can understand and live with the situation until we get the green light for Falmer.

That's why I think it will be Booker and Hinshelwood until we hear from Prescott. Then we can get a new manager on a longterm contract with a better player budget.

Like a little thing like a contract matters... Thought SC had one of those? And Pardew come to think of it. Ain't worth jackschit it would appear.

£100K apparently if he leaves for Reading - they got around £500K from West Ham, everyone's a winner !

Agreed Lush, we may stay close to the top but even if we don't we shouldn't go into freefall and will at worst end up mid/lower table.

Losing SC imo is a major blow as I believed he'd only signed for a year to see what happened with Falmer. He is young enough to wait a couple of years for the Stadium and is apparently working with one of the better football chairman. Of all the managers we've had, he was the one I would have expected to see his contract out. If he doesn't honour it, I don't hold out much hope of the next one, presuming he's succesfull, staying long without visible evidence of a stadium being built.

Booker/Hinshelwood is the logical, but possibly uninspiring choice.
