Companies are paying the creators of 12ft Ladder to blacklist their site from the service. Nice little earner for them and a very expensive game of whack-a-mole for the companies paying them

There’s no confirmation, but it would certainly explain why sites took ages to ban it one at a time whilst lesser known sites doing the same thing carried on working.

Personally find the whole thing very touching and Mac deserves to totally milk it. As others have said today, reading about George Cohen passing on all the news sites reminds us what an incredible achievement it is. Relatively unheard of players becoming legendary names across the country for decades. Thats Mac now in Argentina.
