Wow, I've just listened through twice. An utterly brilliant album, love it.

I can see why you have suggested a Streets similarity. To me it also brought to mind 2nd Exit and United Future Organisation:

Thanks, @Whitechapel. I have discovered so much good stuff from your knowledge of this genre, and disappeared down numerous rabbit holes. I'm much older than you are, and your input is invaluable.

Glad you liked it mate! It’s been copping a rinsing from me all weekend. It’s one of those where every play changes my favourite track. Cats & Dogs, Don’t Do Drugs, Foundations, Casino Royale… all of them 10/10 tracks, I reckon I’ve listened to Gold at least 30 times too. What a f*cking beat.

Honestly, British Hip-Hop is one of my biggest passions but I’m cursed with a friendship circle who can’t think of anything worse. So really I owe you a thanks for being someone I can pass my enthusiasm on to!

If you enjoyed NNUTS then I can’t recommend their first two albums enough. Breathing Exercises & Handle with care are both on a similar level and there’s a load of loose singles too.

No doubt you're aware but they have just announced the tour dates for this album, down to play Chalk on April 14th. Tickets on sale on Friday and should sell out relatively quickly.

Sault have just released 5 new albums.

All available for FREE download here, you just need the password godislove. Only available for 5 days, link expires on Sunday.

Wasn’t quite as taken with their last one as previous work, but hopefully there’s some good stuff here.

The new Daniel Avery is out today....one first listen it is rather good and I just had confirmation my double vinyl is on its way. It also contains his tribute to the late, the great, Andrew Wetherall which he released a few years ago.

If you enjoy the new Loyle Carner album then I’d 100% recommend the new Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn album that dropped today. Nothing New Under The Sun.

I think the easiest way to describe FS&HG would be a modern day version of The Streets but they aren’t a million miles away from LC either.

They’re also from Portslade and I believe Harvey is a Brighton fan so that always helps. The Streets are my favourite artist ever and I’d support a new form of Ebola if it had a BN postcode so it’s a big yes from me.

Hard to say for sure after only two listens but I would be shocked if it doesn’t end up my AOTY. Maybe not quite as focused as Hugo but incredible production, hard hitting lyrics, almost all of of the features work & I get stupidly happy when I hear somewhere I know get mentioned in a song.

Never been to a gig on my own because of my anxiety being a c*nt, but tickets purchased. Can’t miss it. If either of you (or @Pogue Mahone!) are going and fancy grabbing a drink beforehand then let me know!

I see the likes here and hope you’ve both given the album a spin. Especially you @Harry Wilson's tackle. You were always the one person I could trust to actually listen to my songs in the “best song today” thread after all.

Morning mate.

NNUTS has been on repeat for several days, and tickets have been bought for the gig at Chalk in April. 'The Middle' is currently my earworm. I'll be meeting a mate at the pub beforehand - join us! We always go to the East Street Tap before Chalk gigs.

This weekend I plan to listen to their other albums.

Bit late to the party, but now listened to Modern Life by Ralph Heidel.

I really enjoyed it.
