Scrimshire - Nothing Feels Like Everything.

You might have posted this at some point over the year, but was just reading Kitty Empire's top ten for 2021, and was intrigued by her description of Space 1.8 by Nala Sinephro. Just listening to it now, and it's a delight (as is the new track by Binker & Moses).

My favourite album of the year has to be Shame’s Drunk Tank Pink, closely followed by Wolf Alice’s Blue Weekend. Great years for some of the smaller bands this year, I’ve made a top 100 songs list if anyone wanted to see it.

Just been listening to Yama Warashi on the Spotify machine. I had never heard of her until I saw a short write up in the Resident mail shot which mentioned jazz and psych. I’d add a a bit of world music/Afro to the description as well. Very enjoyable and refreshing. She has new album coming out shortly but has two in the bag already. Go listen.

I reckon Machiavelli will be up for this.

My 'Let England Shake' vinyl reissue is ready for collection, and I am pathetically excited by this. One of my favourite ever albums, but I wasn't buying vinyl when it came out.

I can't collect it, though, as I am confined to my house.

Ooo, thanking you, will check that out.
Your post does invite the issue of starting a 2022 thread. I'm looking forward to Imarhan, BCNR and Binker & Moses especially but, no doubt, there will be plenty more that has slipped my radar.
Got Yard Act this week, which is good, and politically astute.
On Imarhan, it looks like they're playing Green Door Store and maybe even for two nights, which sounds a real treat.

Just gave that a whirl. Good tip. Japanese heritage there.

Also liking two bands, Chappaqua Wrestling, from Hurstpierpoint/Brighton, all lads are mates with my brother and their music is bloody nice indie rock. Have been heard on Radio1 and Radio 6 Music with Mark Riley.

Another band, who use the Rolling Stones and OASIS as their influence, is Afflecks Palace, Many band who have a real nitty gritty sound and definitely one to watch out for. Very similar sounds to 90s indie rock.
Loving Chappaqua Wrestling's new one

Ask your brother if there is an album on the way soon?
