Albion will make a late decision on defender Inigo Calderon's availability for Saturday's trip to promotion rivals Derby County.
The deputising left-back suffered a foot injury in last Saturday's 3-2 comeback win against Charlton at the Amex.
Manager Chris Hughton said today: "We'll assess him. He trained for most of the training this morning, so we'll assess him again tomorrow to see how he is."
Calderon is filling in at left-back for long-term absentees Gaetan Bong (thigh) and Liam Rosenior (knee).
The only orthodox alternative to the long-serving Spaniard is Adam Chicksen, who made his first appearance under Hughton since his first game in charge in January as a late substitute against Charlton.
Hughton told The Argus: "We certainly have to look at the options we might have, because Liam's going to be out for a period of time, Gaetan not so long.
"That is an area where we are light but there is always an opportunity for someone else and at this moment we are glad and grateful we've got Adam.
"He's played games. It's not like an 18-year-old we are having to put in for his first games. This is an experienced player.
"We'll make judgements on that position but it is one that will test us a little bit. That's what the game is about."
Midfielder Andrew Crofts (hamstring) is still sidelined from the squad for the Derby fixture. He could be back in contention for the two games that follow at QPR and at home to Middlesbrough.
Hughton said: "Crofty is still a no. He'll train with us tomorrow with a view to having some involvement or being part of the squad possibly Tuesday or Saturday."
Derby, meanwhile, expect to still be without first choice No. 1 Scott Carson (back) for Albion's visit.
Lee Grant stood in for Sunday's 0-0 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.
