* Albion are still on the lookout for a loan striker.
* One of their targets, Tottenham's Jonathan Obika, has been sidelined by a recurrence of ankle trouble and did not feature in a development team friendly behind closed doors against the Seagulls earlier this week.
* Albion assistant head coach Nathan Jones said today: "We are still working hard. We have targets. At the minute things haven't quite been there. We'd like to add a little bit of difference to our squad, something that maybe we haven't got. We are endeavouring to do that.
* "We've got some good players here, some good young players as well that can fit into our squad, so it's not a massive urgency, but we are always looking to improve.
* "We are endeavouring, I can assure people of that, and then when the time is right we will add."
* Struggling Sheffield Wednesday, who visit The Amex on Tuesday, today signed striker Matty Fryatt on a month's loan from Premier League newcomers Hull City.
