After lack of transfer activity and a very quiet summer there seem to be more names mentioned than you can shake a stick at!

Just to clarify the situation as I see it:

Signings:

Maheta Molango

Rejected Trialists:

Kerekes
Tankary

Current Trialists?:

Luke Moore
Albert Jarrett
Darren Currie
Quincy Owusu-Abeyie

Have I missed any?

Rumours or fact unsure.

The first is only a rumour. The second, a bit more than that....the Argus reports this morning that Liam Brady has offered us a list of his young players they would be prepared to loan to us as the season progresses, although not right at the beginning. Whether Quincy will be the first of them, we'll see.

Still, all these players connected to us in one form or other is not a bad week's work from McGhee and Knight, is it?

There is no chance we will get Luke Moore, and if we did it wouldn't be on trial.

I think the chances are very high that we will get at least one Arsenal youth player on a season long loan. I think it will be Quincy Owusu-Abeyie.

I am going to have fun making up songs for him.

Taken from Sky yesterday
Arsenal's Olafur-Ingi Skulason is on the brink of joining Beveren on loan, and he could be joined in Belgium by Quincy Owusu-Abeye.

The Gunners have long-established links with their feeder club and Igors Stepanovs spent last term on loan in the Jupiler League.

Skulason is a 21-year-old Icelander who has spent two spells on loan with his former club Fylkir.

He is equally at home in midfield or at full back.

Beveren are also hopeful of luring Owusu-Abeye for a six-month spell, with Arsene Wenger believed to be keen on the deal, although his young Dutch forward is unsure whether to make the switch.

It's a good job we're not getting OLAFUR-INGI-SKULASON it would cost a fortune to have that name on your shirt.

Why do some people think Jake is going?... if it's just because he scored a goal against Arsenal U21's (allegedly), not much substance there, is there!?...

At least, I hope not...
