Albion players will be reminded of the pitfalls of social media following goalkeeper David Stockdale's Twitter spat with Adam Virgo.
Stockdale was involved in heated exchanges with former ex-skipper Virgo, now a media pundit.
"When emotions are running high the last thing you want to do is haul players over the coals for something which, in the scheme of things, isn't huge.
"On the other hand, we don't want players getting involved in spats on Twitter with anyone, let alone former players and former captains.
"It's something we'll deal with in-house during the summer and just remind people that social media is not private.
"I think we just need to make sure the players are aware this is the sort of stuff the fans read, pick up on, take notice of, make judgements on."
The Twitter row erupted on Wednesday night, when Stockdale picked up on criticism from Virgo surrounding a disallowed goal for Blackburn last month and on the former captain casting doubt in The Argus about whether Inigo Calderon warranted a new deal.
