Albion have confirmed the appointment of Paul Trollope as manager Chris Hughton's new assistant.
The 44-year-old, hailed as an "excellent coach" by Hughton, replaces Colin Calderwood, who quit to join Aston Villa.
Trollope (below), revealed as Calderwood's likely successor by The Argus a week ago, worked with Hughton at Birmingham and Norwich.

He has also been a No.1 at Bristol Rovers and, most recently, Cardiff and was part of Chris Coleman's coaching staff for Wales at the Euro finals in France in the summer.
Hughton said: "I'm delighted to be working with Paul again, as we did at both Birmingham and Norwich.
"He's an excellent coach and, since his time with me, he's gone on to gain great experience at international level with Wales and in club management with Cardiff City."

Former Wales midfielder Trollope's first match alongside Hughton is at the Amex on Saturday against Fulham. He helped them into the Premier League during a playing career which also included a promotion to the top flight with Derby County.Meanwhile, Calderwood insists he has made the "right decision" ending his long association with Hughton and Joining Villa.
The Scot said: "It's been a difficult decision in the first place to leave Chris and Brighton, but I'm delighted to get the opportunity.
"I was very excited about this chance. Being here for a few days already, it has proven to be the right decision, even in the early stages."
