Dean Wilkins came off from most matches with his hair still in place and was never guilty of making a tackle.

Tony Burns used to carrya brush in his 'goalkeeping bag' so that he could brush his hair when he had been in action and the ball was up the other end. In those days goalkeepers didnt wear gloves all the time only when the ball was wet and also had a toweel and cap in their bag.
