Ashley Barnes scored as Albion drew 1-1 at Blackpool today.
But they had to withstand concerted pressure before emerging with a hard-won point.
Barnes got the final touch after Blackpool made a mess of dealing with a long ball forward on 56 minutes.
Elliot Grandin headed the equaliser on 72 minutes as the Seagulls’ marking for once let them down.
But the visitors otherwise defended superbly and had Kuszczak to thank for great saves from Grandin, Nathan Delfouneso and Angel as they weathered the late storm.
Craig Mackail-Smith almost secured a smash and grab win when his overhead kick was tipped over by Matt Gilks on 81 minutes.
