[h=3]Albion fear lay-off for LuaLua[/h]3:00pm Sunday 20th October 2013 in Sport By Andy Naylor
Kazenga LuaLua
* Albion fear Kazenga LuaLua could be about to join their chronic long-term injury list.
* The explosive left-winger missed yesterday's 0-0 draw at Yeovil with the left knee tendon trouble which has been bothering him since pre-season.
* Assistant head coach Nathan Jones revealed to The Argus: "We wanted him to come to give us a little edge but he wasn't able to. It's just frustrating, just another one to add to the pile.
* "He's had problems with his knee. We've had it assessed. We're going to have it assessed further and see where we go from there."
* LuaLua was confident after playing against Nottingham Forest at The Amex before the international break that he would not need surgery but he has not trained since then.
* Jones said: "The specialist is going to have a look at it and then we should have more news. The fact that he wasn't here says a lot about the state he is in."
* Liam Bridcutt, Andrea Orlandi, Leo Ulloa, Craig Mackail-Smith, Kemy Agustien and Will Hoskins are already all weeks or months away from returning from injuries.
* Jones added: "There are seven starters missing who are big players for us and that's been the problem."
LuaLua fuelled the fears about his plight today when he tweeted: "Tough 8 weeks ahead. Gonna be so hard!"
