Albion's summer-long quest to sign a winger reached a successful conclusion today with the capture of Jamie Murphy from Sheffield United.
The Scot has signed a four-year contract after the Seagulls agreed a fee with United in the region of £1.5 million and saw off competition from two Championship rivals.
The deal was not sealed in time for Murphy to be involved at Fulham tomorrow. Instead he will be in contention for his debut back in Yorkshire at Huddersfield on Tuesday evening.
Murphy, who can play on either wing or through the middle, has scored 21 goals and provided 22 assists in 122 games for United since joining them from Motherwell in January 2013.
