OK, so I aint a big fan of Gordon Brown, but you gotta feel sorry for him after putting in 8 years of being 'number 2' only to find that just because b.liar wants to be immortal and wants every prime minister to be a carbon copy of himself, all of a sudden this twat gets the nod and its thanks Gordon, but you dont fit the profile, so f*** off !

His smarmy little jonny come lately mug is forever on TV these days, cant remember a politician who seems to be so far up his arse since the days of Mellor/Currie etc etc, or makes me want to kick the telly !

Seriously though, you don't become a 'Prime Minister in waiting' for five years. These things are cyclical. The next PM may not even be in the current Cabinet. Flame me if you will, but it's the 'next generation' who have the better chance, e.g. Ivor Caplin? You never know...

Blair wasn't even in the Shadow Cabinet until just five years before he became Prime Minister. Most shadows tend to wait a good ten years before gaining a Government post.
