Went to see Al Stewart last night at the Customs House, South Shields (oop North) ... the guy is 58 yet his voice is the same as it was 30 years ago.
The gig was brilliant - one of the best I have been to during the past couple of years - he played songs from almost each one of his 17 albums, including the usuals like Year of the Cat and On the Border.
And after the gig he decanted himself to the bar where he sat and chatted with us lesser mortals and signed CDs and so on .... a real nice guy as well ....
If he plays near you ... recommend it if you are into folk rock

We went to a fantastic Al Stewart & Chris de Burgh + orchestra concert many years back, at the Crapstool Palarse Concert Bowel (the one with the lake in front of the stage).

It was completely brilliant! :clap2:  :clap2:

Seen him twice in recent years at Eastbourne and Worthing Assembly Halls. It appears that Southampton is the nearest he gets to Brighton this tour. Definitley worth going if you like acoustic/folk/rock
