Red card for a challenge that he didn't even think was a foul .... and i thought the PL refs were bad. Shows that VAR is there to pick on things like that though (a point that is often missed by the critics)
It wasn't obvious that it was a foul, because it looked like he may have got the ball. He didn't, so it was a red card as he was the last man. Correct VAR decision, but understandable mistake from the ref.

Surely easier to roll it into the other corner?

Mr Tumble not there then.
He made the pre tournament squad but was dropped when the final squad was announced.

Seems a certain winger who’d only be able to play in around half the tournament due to injury was preferred instead.
